How much it costs on different wedding venues?

1, Restaurant Wedding Reception

Although this may seem like a cheap option when looking for a place to serve a full meal, brides should keep in mind that restaurants have strict restrictions on alcohol, meaning they will be the only ones to supply it – at their price. Moreover, a mandatory gratuity tax, often very high, will apply to groups. The more the group spends, the higher the tax. And things like décor and entertainment will not only be DIY, there may be strict restrictions on what brides can bring in.

But sometimes picking the restaurant the couple went to on their first date as a wedding venue will have sentimental value, and for a small gathering, it is definitely less expensive than renting out an entire hall. For 30 to 40 guests, the cost of this type of reception will probably be less than $5,000 (excluding décor/favours/etc).

2, Original and Unique Wedding Venues

Some couples love to push the envelope and create an unforgettable wedding celebration. The easiest way to do this is to rent a unique location. It could be a carnival ground, or a small cruise boat. Small details are what make these types of wedding special. Getting a cotton candy machine or having cigar hand-rolling stations will build an atmosphere.

Facilitating various activities for entertainment can also be more expensive than a traditional wedding, which typically only features a DJ or live band. But creative couples can set up a lot of fun activities themselves. For example, to create the look and feel of a casino, green tablecloths, card decks and chips are usually all that’s needed. Location rentals range in price from under $1,000 to almost $4,000 for a day.

3, Modern Wedding Venues

It’s the bed and breakfast the couple stayed at on their first vacation together or the art gallery they love the most. Modern wedding venues have more to do with the couple’s interests and showcase their individuality rather than having a big party for family and friends.

4, The Classic Banquet Hall Venue

The easiest place to get a traditional experience is a banquet hall. Often the most hassle-free choice, banquet halls provide a one-stop destination for the couple looking to have a sit down dinner, a place for guests to dance, and an open bar. From centerpieces to linens, to twinkle lights adorning the head table, banquet halls will take care of everything.

Often it is cheaper to rent a banquet hall because they will most certainly offer a deal for couples with over 100 guests. Those with a smaller guest list, however, will find themselves in a bind to secure a Saturday. Another drawback is that couples are forced to choose between packages that are, for the most part, inflexible. For 100 guests, this type of reception runs for around $10,000.

5, Hotel/Bed and Breakfast Wedding Venue

Romantic getaways generally hold sentimental memories for a couple.. It’s no surprise that some brides choose to relive a great vacation during their nuptials. Whether it’s in a vineyard, a coastal town, a castle in Europe, a Caribbean beach or simply cottage country, destination weddings hold the promise of adventure, excitement, and a chance to take a trip!

Planning for this type of wedding can be difficult, especially from a different country. But for a small wedding party, this is an inexpensive way to have a wedding and a honeymoon all in one. Choosing a resort will generally guarantee an all-inclusive wedding, and some Caribbean Destinations do it for free, including the wedding into the price of the vacation package. If the couple is paying for themselves only, this type of wedding can cost under $3,500. If they will be paying for their guests, group discounts only begin from 20+ guests. This can easily escalate into a $20,000+ wedding.

6, Backyard Wedding Reception

Ceremonies and receptions done at home are a great way to save money and perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings. Large backyards and open concept houses are best when attempting to have a wedding at home. Sometimes home renovations can become part of the wedding budget and this way, the couple, or their parents, can build that porch they always wanted.

Don’t think backyard barbecue either; beautiful, elegant weddings can happen at home. The right caterer and some extra time spent planning the décor can go a long way. For a simpler affair, relatives can help prepare the food, existing sound systems can replace a pricey DJ and alcohol can flow without regard for cost.

Brides beware: home weddings are the surest way to breed conflict with, and create demands and expectations from house owners, especially if they are the couple’s parents. For 50 guests, this type of reception will probably end up costing from $5,000 to $8,000.
